Memphis, Tenn. - Memphis used two seventh inning rallies to beat Colorado Springs twice Sunday afternoon at AutoZone Park.

In Sunday's scheduled seven-inning game David Freese's walk-off single to right field scored D'Angelo Jimenez from second base to complete the three-run, seventh-inning rally and give the Redbirds the victory. Freese had entered the game as a defensive replacement in the top of the seventh. Rico Washington tied the game with a two-run homer to right field after Nick Stavinoha reached base on a strikeout and wild pitch. Memphis had just two hits in the game entering the seventh inning and finished with a season-low four.

However, closer Chris Perez made things exciting when he allowed a leadoff double to Sox outfielder Chris Frey in the ninth inning. Perez pitched around the trouble to earn his eighth save of the season. Rasmus went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in the game.

John Wasdin earned the win for the 'Birds with four innings of relief work. The right-hander allowed two runs on three hits for his second win of the year. Mitchell Boggs started the game on Friday and pitched three innings allowing one run on one hit. Cedrick Bowers took the loss for the Sky Sox after allowing three runs on three hits in 4.2 innings.
