Salt Lake Bees News Release

Adolis Garcia hit three home runs to lead the Memphis Redbirds to a 12-3 win over the Salt Lake Bees.

Garcia hit a three-run homer in the first inning, grand slam in the sixth and solo shot in the eighth to do most of the damage for the Redbirds, finishing with 8 RBIs. Oscar Mercado and Alex Mejia added two run homers of their won to make up all 12 runs for Memphis.

After falling behind 5-0 in the second inning the Bees clawed back into the game scoring two runs in the third on a Kaleb Cowart single and a single run in the fourth as Nolan Fontana scored on a wild pitch, but the Bees would get no closer after Garcia's grand slam in the sixth inning. With the loss the Bees dropped to a half game behind El Paso for the PCL Pacific Southern Division.

The Bees open a four-game series with the Nashville Sounds starting on Friday night with first pitch coming at 6:35 p.m. Fireworks will also follow the game on Saturday night for Superhero Night. Tickets and more information is available at www.slbees.com.
