Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators announced today that OF Ryan Church has been sent to Triple-A, and INF Ian Desmond has been sent to Potomac. The Senators will receive INF Seth Bynum from Potomac.
Church goes to New Orleans for the second time this season. With the Senators, Church was 4 x 19 (.211) with 2 HR and 3 RBIs. Church began the season in New Orleans and then was sent to Washington where he played in 23 games and hit .215 with 4 HR and 11 RBIs.
Desmond will go to Potomac where he spent 55 games in 2005. This year with the Senators he was 22 x 121 (.182) with 0 HR and 3 RBIs. He had his first multi-RBI game of the season last night.
Bynum appeared in 34 games with Potomac this season hitting .244 with 1 HR and 6 RBIs. He was originally signed as a nondrafted free agent by the Expos on May 28, 2004. He split time in 2005 between Potomac and Savannah. While with Savannah he hit .301 with 5 HR and 29 RBIs.
With the moves today, the Senators roster stands at 22 active players.
