The homestand is highlighted by the appearances of former Phillies pitcher Mitch Williams and the newest baseball hall-of-famer, Rich "Goose" Gossage.
Williams will be on hand Wednesday, August 13 as the Cutters host Lowell, to promote his new line of "Wild Thing Salsas". He will be the guest on Cutters Pregame Live at 6:30pm. All fans on hand can watch and hear the interview with "Wild Thing".
Williams spent 11 years in Major League Baseball, including three with the Phillies, helping Philadelphia to the 1993 NL pennant. He raked up 45 wins and 192 saves in his Major League career. Williams will throw the ceremonial 1st pitch then sign autographs and meet fans in the main concourse area throughout the Cutters game.
Also on Wednesdays fans will be entertained by the ZOOperstars!, a zany entertainment act back at Bowman for the 2nd year in a row. ZOOperstars! have advanced to the semifinals of the NBC hit TV show, "America's Got Talent".
Friday, August 15, fans will have the chance to meet Hall-of-Fame pitcher Rich "Goose" Gossage when the Cutters host the State College Spikes. Gossage amassed 310 saves in his career and pitched in over 1,000 Major League games with 9 different teams. He was named to the all-star team 9 times in his career and pitched in 3 World Series.
Gossage, whose appearance is being made possible by the Lycoming County Visitors Bureau, is slated to appear on Cutters Pregame Live (6:30pm) and throw a 1st pitch in addition to signing autographs and meeting fans in the main concourse during a portion of the game.
