Mahoning Valley Scrappers News Release
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers in conjunction with Handel's Homemade Ice Cream are teaming up to raise money for the Joe Kaluza Family Fund. Stop by any Handel's location and pick up a voucher for the Sunday, August 17 Scrappers game. $2 of each Scrappers ticket voucher turned in will be donated to the Joe Kaluza Family Fund. The Scrappers will also be selling Youngstown's All Heart wristbands and will be conducting a silent auction to help raise additional funds. The game will also feature a post-game fireworks show.
Joe is a member of our community who was shot and left paralyzed from the neck down during a staged robbery. What makes this senseless act more tragic is that Joe, being the sole provider for his family has two special needs children.
