Future Yanks Take On Spikes In Exciting Series

The State College Spikes will face off against the New York Yankees affiliate, the Staten Island Yankees, in a three-game series at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park this week. The future Yankees won't be the only show in town, the homestand is packed with everything from charitable fundraisers to famous entertainment acts!

Since the Spikes beat the Williamsport Crosscutters in Friday night's "We Win, You Win" game, fans with tickets to the Spikes' August 8th game can redeem their ticket stub for a $1 ticket. The ticket stubs can be redeemed for a Field Box, Bullpen Box or Outfield Bleacher seat to one of the Spikes' games this week against the Staten Island Yankees. Fans can redeem their ticket stubs anytime before the end of Thursday's game, subject of availability.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 12TH - 7:05 PM VS. STATEN ISLAND YANKEES Tuesday marks the second Going Green Environmental Night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. A plethora of "Gong Green" and environmentally friendly information will be available to fans and the first 2,000 through the gate will receive a Pittsburgh Prospect Card Set. The Spikes will recognize firefighters throughout the night as part of "Firefighter Appreciation" night as well. Groups of four can take advantage of the Family Four-Pack on Tuesday, with the opportunity to buy four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for only $40.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13TH - 7:05 PM VS. STATEN ISLAND YANKEES Medlar Field at Lubrano Park will have a different look on Wednesday as the Spikes Paint the Park Pink! The first 2,000 women through the gates will receive a pink Spikes visor and the Spikes players will be wearing special pink jerseys. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on their favorite players' jerseys in the third and final Jersey Off-The-Back Auction of the 2008 season. Following the game, the winners of the jerseys will be announced and will receive the jerseys from the players. Wednesday will also be a part of the CCUW Partner Agency Series and all fans in the ballpark will have the chance to play Baseball Bingo.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 14TH - 7:05 PM VS. STATEN ISLAND YANKEES The Zooperstars will be performing their crazy antics for all the fans at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park Thursday night. Five bachelors from the Spikes' front office staff will be auctioned off as a part of Singles Night to benefit the American Heart Association. Fans can bid on the handsome fellows in a silent auction on the concourse throughout the game.
