MEDICINE HAT, AB - The Prince George Cougars opened their three-game Central Divison road trip with a 4-1 setback to the Medicine Hat Tigers Friday. Tigers' defenceman Linus Nassen opened the scoring just 28-seconds into the game and finished with a game-high three-points; he was also the first star. Cougars' captain Josh Curtis scored his first goal of the season in the third period.

Fast Start(s): The Tigers worked quickly in both the first and second periods. Medicine Hat opened the scoring, on their first shot of the game, just 28-seconds into the first period. Trevor Preziuso made it 2-0 for the Tigers just 1:50 into the second period.

Snake Bitten: The Cougars have scored just five goals over their four-game winless streak. Their 14-goals over their first eight games is the second-lowest output in the WHL. Curtis' third period goal was his first of the season and his first since February 17th, of the last season when he scored against Kamloops.

Up Next:The Cougars' busy weekend continues Saturday, as they pay a visit to the Lethbridge Hurricanes at the ENMAX Centre; the puck drops at 6 pm PT. The two teams split their two meetings a season ago, and Saturday marks the Cougars first trip to Lethbridge since January 13th, 2017.
