Calgary, AB - Jack McNaughton turned aside 34 shots on goal to record his first WHL career win en route to a 6-5 victory at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Although the 'Canes battled for a comeback in the third period, posting three goals in just over five minutes, they were not able to overcome the Hitmen.

Mark Kastelic (2g, 1a), Jake Kryski (1g, 2a) and Vladislav Yeryomenko (3a) all led the Hitmen with a three point effort. Kaden Elder, Dakota Krebs and Riley Fiddler-Schultz, with his first WHL career goal, rounded out the scoring for the home team.

Logan Barlage (2g) had a pair of goals for the visitors while Jake Elmer (1g, 1a), Jadon Joseph (1g) and Zachary Cox (1g) all chipped in one.

The Hurricanes outshot Calgary 39-37 and went 1-4 on the power play while the Hitmen were 1-3.

The Hitmen are back in action against the Regina Pats on October 14 for SUPER Sunday Funday at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Game time is 4:00 p.m. Kids 12 and under receive FREE admission while all other tickets are $14.99 (plus applicable fees and taxes).

The 2018-19 Hitmen Hockey Pass is still available and includes 34 game tickets to be used anytime, in any combination. Pass holders also receive a $50 Scotiabank Saddledome gift card and a complimentary ticket to a select Flames, Roughnecks or Stampeders game. Passes start at less than $7 per ticket for kids and under $15 for adults.
