
Mechanics rebound with 3-2 win over Komets

FRASER, MI-Adam Edinger nets two goals en route to a 3-2 win over the Fort Wayne Komets tonight in front of 1,838 fans at the Great Lakes Sports City.
The Komets scored first at 10:41 in the first period when newcomer, Jamie Milam netted his first pro goal. The Mechanics responded in the second by scoring three unanswered goals to take a 3-1 lead into the third period.
Adam Edinger netted two of those goals, his 48th and 49th and defenseman Ryan Van Buskirk netted the third goal. The Komets would net one more goal but could not get any more past Rod Branch.
Branch made 38 saves in his 66th game while earning his 37th win of the season.
The win also puts the 2005-06 Mechanics in the history books once again. With the win the Mechanics surpassed the point total set last season of 81. The new bar is 83 points and counting.
One more game this weekend as the Kalamazoo Wings come into town tomorrow for a 5:00 PM face-off.
