Glenn Detulleo scored two goals and added an assist as the Quad City Mallards defeated the Missouri River Otters 5-2 Saturday night at the MARK.

The lone goal in the first period was scored on a Mallards two-man advantage when Steve O'Rourke buried a slap-shot from the high slot behind Corey Wogtech. The teams made up for the lack of first-period goals with five snipes in the second period. The Mallards scored three of them as Detulleo, Dan Pszenyczny, and Frank Littlejohn lit the lamp. Missouri cut the score to 4-2 with goals by Jimmy Callahan and Jim Duhart, who registered goal number 493 of his career. Detulleo added an empty-netter in the final period to give his squad the 5-2 victory. Tapp made 34 saves in the win while Wogtech made 24 saves in defeat.

The River Otters host the Rockford IceHogs Sunday afternoon at the Family Arena. The puck drops at 1:00 CST, and all the action can be heard on KSLQ 104.5 FM and the B2 Networks, located at www.riverotters.com.
