PORT HURON, MI - Power play goals 52 seconds apart in the 3rd period from Mike Oliveira and Evgeny Lazarev erased a 2-1 deficit and gave the Richmond RiverDogs their second comeback win in as many nights as the team defeats the Port Huron Flags 3-2 in front of 1,965. For the RiverDogs, it was the team's third straight win and a sweep of the two game road trip. John DiPace got the RiverDogs other goal. For Mike Oliveira, it is his 51st goal of the season. Mike D'Alessandro was in net for the RiverDogs as he stopped 29 of 31.
With the win, the RiverDogs record is now 35-27-6, good for 76 points and 3rd in the Eastern Division. The RiverDogs still hold 9th place overall in the UHL standings and trail the Quad City Mallards by only two points for the 8th and final playoff spot.
