Down 4-1 heading into the final period in Rockford's last meeting against Houston on March 16, Rob Flick tried to mount a comeback for the IceHogs. Flick tallied two goals in a span of 23 seconds, but Rockford couldn't find the equalizer and fell 4-3 to the Aeros at the Toyota Center.

Rockford is looking to end the Aeros' four game winning streak and will throw some new faces into the lineup. Winger Kyle Beach is expected to return to action after being sidelined for 57 games with an injury and Chicago Blackhawks first selection (#18 overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Mark McNeill, is expected to make his American Hockey League debut tonight. McNeill joined the IceHogs following his third full season with the Prince Albert Raiders (WHL).

The IceHogs need to pick up wins fast if they want to crawl back into the playoff picture. The Hogs find themselves sitting in 13th in the Western Conference, eight points behind San Antonio as they hold the final playoff spot.

Next Home Game: Saturday, March 24 vs. Houston Aeros. Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs and Aeros wrap up their season series at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The first 2,500 fans into the building will pick up a Ben Smith Bobblehead thanks to T6 Broadband.

For every goal that the Rockford IceHogs score in 2011-12, IceHogs head coach Ted Dent will make a donation to children's cancer research. BMO Harris Bank will also make a donation for every goal to the "BMO Harris Bank Goals For Grades"
