March 23, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Houston Aeros News Release
HOUSTON --- Houston Aeros President David Burke today announced that ESPN Radio 97.5 FM will carry four upcoming Aeros games. The Aeros are the primary affiliate of the National Hockey League's (NHL) Minnesota Wild.
Joe O'Donnell will call the action exclusively on ESPN Radio 97.5 FM for games on March 28 (at Milwaukee), March 31 (vs. Hamilton), April 6 (vs. Chicago) and April 13 (at OKC).
"We are excited to add select Aeros hockey games to our extensive ESPN 97.5 FM play by play line up," ESPN 97.5 FM program director Dave Tepper said. "With the AHL success the Aeros have experienced, sports fans can enjoy hearing coverage of their playoff push on the FM dial."
All broadcasts will begin with a 15-minute pre-game show prior to the scheduled puck drop.
"This is a unique opportunity for Houston sports fans in general to experience the excitement of Aeros hockey," Burke said.
The partnership includes ESPN 97.5 FM Night with the Aeros on April 6 when the Aeros host Chicago at Toyota Center. Fans that arrive early will receive a souvenir Aeros puck courtesy on ESPN Radio 97.5 FM.
ESPN Radio 97.5 FM is a part of Cumulus Media, Inc.
