
IceCaps Sign Daavettila to PTO

St. John's IceCaps News Release
The St. John's IceCaps announced today they have signed forward Trent Daavettila (daav-UH-till-la) to a professional tryout contract.
Daavettila, 27, has played in 66 games with the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL this season, recording 71 points (17G, 54A) and 38 penalty minutes. He currently sits fifth on the Kalamazoo leaderboard in points.
The Howell, MI native has played in 16 career AHL games between Adirondack and Grand Rapids, notching three points (1G, 2A) and two penalty minutes.
Daavettila will join the IceCaps in Syracuse in time for their Friday night matchup with the Crunch.
