August 9, 2022 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Monterey Bay FC News Release
Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay F.C.) has announced that the club will begin releasing personalized stories of its players' paths to professional soccer as part of a project titled Origin Series: The Greatest Union of Land & Sea. The club will release a video to complement each player's origin story as a part of the series that will be released on the club's website and Youtube channel each week until the end of the 2022 USL Championship regular season.
Origin Series kicked off this morning, with the first player featured in the series being Watsonville, California native Adrian Rebollar. After being the last player to sign coming out of preseason training for the club's inaugural campaign in USL Championship, Rebollar has gone into his rookie season with something to prove. And following his game-winning goal over El Paso Locomotive FC on August 6, Rebollar is now the club's second-leading goal scorer with four goals so far this season.
Looking ahead, part two of Origin Series featuring midfielder Mobi Fehr is expected to release on Tuesday, August 16, with part three, featuring defender Kai Greene, scheduled to release the following Tuesday, August 23. The full schedule is as follows:
Mobi Fehr - August 16
Kai Greene - August 23
Morey Doner - August 30
James Murphy - September 6
Walmer Martinez - September 13
Chase Boone - September 20
