Inside the 18: Daniel Edelman Joins Starting XI as Red Bulls II Takes on Atlanta United 2

New York Red Bulls II will host Atlanta United 2 on Tuesday, August 9, at MSU Soccer Park.
The match will mark the second meeting of the season between the two clubs, with New York claiming the first, 1-0, on March 16.
The attack for New York will be led by Wiki Carmona, Steven Sserwadda, Caden Clark, and Zach Ryan. Sserwadda will look to build off last week's performances where he had a goal and an assist.
Daniel Edelman will make his first appearance with Red Bulls II since June 2 and will play alongside Jesús Castellano in the defensive midfield.
The back line for Red Bulls II will have Curtis Ofori, Daniel De Leon, Michael Knapp, and O'Vonte Mullings.
Mullings will wear the captain's armband.
Giannis Nikopolidis will start in net, becoming the eighth goalkeeper in club history to appear in 10 or more matches.
The bench will consist of Christopher Cragwell, Lamine Conte, Erick Ruiz, John Murphy, Jonathan Filipe, and Jordan Adebayo-Smith. Derrek Chan will serve as the backup goalkeeper.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET, with coverage on ESPN+.
