SAN DIEGO, California - Monterey Bay F.C. travels to San Diego, California to face San Diego Loyal SC at Torero Stadium in Week 23 of the 2022 USL Championship regular season on Wednesday, August 10 for the first-ever meeting between the California foes. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. PT and can be streamed live on ESPN+.

Match Outlook: Coming off six straight matches unbeaten with an active shutout streak of 499 minutes, the Crisp and Kelp enter San Diego as heavy underdogs against a Loyal SC side that currently sits at second overall in the Western Conference. Connections: In one of the most high-profile connections this season to date, Monterey Bay F.C. Sporting Director and Head Coach Frank Yallop will coach opposite Landon Donovan, who Yallop signed as an 18-year-old to Major League Soccer side San Jose Earthquakes in 2001.Yallop coached Donovan for three seasons in San Jose, before reuniting for two seasons at Los Angeles Galaxy in 2006-07.
