A wedding on the ice, a visit from Santa, Buddy the elf entertaining and the Macon Mayhem defeating the Fayetteville FireAntz 4-1. All in all a pretty good Saturday night at the Macon Coliseum.
The Mayhem won for the the second straight night over Fayetteville and have now taken four out of the five games between the two teams in the season series. the Mayhem has won back to back games for the first time this season, and has now won three of its last five games.
Vadim Guskov, Shawn Skelly, and Jake Trask (two goals including an empty net goal with 31 seconds left) scored for the Mayhem. Trask also had an assist on Skelly's goal.
Fayetteville's lone goal came from Kyle Gibbons with 1.7 seconds left in the second period. With he four goals the Mayhem meet the Marcos three goal challenge. Fans will receive a 25% discount on online orders at www.marcos.com on Sunday December 20th.
The Mayhem embark on a four game road trip and will next play at home on Friday January 1 at 7:30 p.m. against the Louisiana Ice Gators.
