Macon Mayhem News Release
The Macon Mayhem saw its league high five game winning streak come to an end Thursday night in a 3-0 loss at Fayetteville.
The FireAntz got two goals from Kyle Gibbons and one from Josh McQuade against goaltender Curtis Martinu, playing in his first game with the Mayhem. Fayetteville scored one goal in each period.
Macon will try to get back on the winning track Friday hosting the Louisiana Ice Gators at the Macon Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. The Mayhem will be collecting donations to aid Darlene Conyers, a long time Macon hockey supporter who is recovering from a gunshot wound suffered during a robbery earlier this week.
Following the game, Mayhem players will celebrate the new year with their first post game party of 2016 to take place at Wild Wing Cafe at the Shoopes at River Crossing, 5080 Riverside Drive. Players will be available to visit with fans, sign autographs and pose for pictures.
