Mayhem Outshoot Bulls 44-18 in second consecutive victory
MACON, GA- The Macon Mayhem outshot the Birmingham Bulls 44-18 in route to a dominant 5-1 win at the Macon Coliseum.
HOW IT HAPPENED
There were no goals by either team in the first 34 minutes of the game, until the Mayhem were finally able to break through. Off of the face off, Caleb Cameron sent a cross-crease pass to Chris Joseph, who one-timed it home to give the Mayhem the 1-0 lead with 5:46 left in the second period.
The offense exploded in the third period, as the Mayhem scored four goals in the final period. Daniel Gentzler scored to open the scoring, assisted by Cameron and Jake Trask. Trask then scored two goals of his own, including a power play goal, to give the Mayhem the 4-0 lead. After John Rey scored for Birmingham, Darren McCormick scored a penalty shot goal with 2.6 seconds left to make it a 5-1 game.
NOTABLE STATS
Troy Passingham started in net and picked up his second straight win, saving 17 of the 18 shots he faced. The Mayhem outshot the Bulls 44-18 in the game.
Daniel Gentzler led the team with four points, as he had a goal and three assists. Jake Trask had two goals and one assist, while Caleb Cameron recorded three assists.
KERR'S COMMENTS
"[It was a] total team effort tonight. I thought we played extremely well on both ends of the ice. We dominated the cycle and possession game, which allowed our offense to get a lot of great chances and we buried them. I am very proud of how we played tonight"

The Mayhem play two games next week, as they start the week on the road in Roanoke on Thursday night. They then return home to the Macon Coliseum on Saturday, November 18 for Star Wars Night against the Fayetteville Marskmen.
