Maxwell Recalled to Hershey

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/General Manager Jared Bednar announced today that right winger Tommy Maxwell has been recalled to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

Maxwell, 23 is in his third season of professional hockey, second straight in the Lowcountry, after being limited to a combined 18 games in 2007-08. The Spokane, WA native has played 25 games with South Carolina this season tallying nine points (4g, 5a) and 83 penalty minutes. This marks the 6-foot-2, 200-pound forwards second call-up to Hershey after playing nine games in November recording an assist and 44 penalty minutes.

The Stingrays are in action tonight at Gwinnett when they face-off against the Gladiators at 7:05 p.m. Fans can listen live on the Real 1340am beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the Benito's Pre Game Show.
