Tuesday, December 8 - Missouri Mavericks vs. Rapid City Rush, 7:05 p.m. CST

The Mavericks and Rush meet for the third time this season and first at Independence Events Center. The Rush has won their last six games for the longest current winning streak in the CHL. Missouri looks to bounce back after a heartbreaking loss in Mississippi Sunday in which the team gave up the winning goal with 10 seconds remaining in regulation. Rapid City is led by Les Reaney who comes into the game with 26 points (11-15=26) in 19 games played.

Friday, December 11 - Missouri Mavericks at Laredo Bucks, 7:30 p.m. CST

The Mavs and Bucks meet for the first time on Friday night at Laredo Entertainment Center. The Bucks will travel to Independence on December 22 to round out the season series. Missouri's game in Laredo is the first of just five more road games against the Southern Conference. The Bucks are currently led by veteran Jeff Bes who has 23 points (8-15=23) in 19 games this season. Goaltender Jean-Philippe Levasseur has just one regulation loss in 13 games played with a 9-1-3 record and 2.31 goals-against average.

Saturday, December 12 - Missouri Mavericks at Corpus Christi IceRays, 7:05 p.m. CST

The Mavericks play their first and only game against the IceRays on Saturday night. Missouri is looking to better their record against the Southern Conference this weekend. The team is currently 1-3-1 against teams from the south.

Friday, December 4 - Missouri 4 vs. Wichita 0

The Missouri Mavericks scored two goals on their first two shots and didn't look back in a 4-0 shutout of the Wichita Thunder Friday night at Independence Events Center. Mavericks' goaltender Alexandre Vincent stopped all 21 shots faced in his second win with Missouri and the team improved to 7-9-1 overall. Carlyle Lewis (1-1=2) and Brett Hammond (0-2=2) led all scorers with two points apiece as the Mavericks improved to 6-0-0 against the Thunder this season.

Saturday, December 5 - Missouri 3 vs. Amarillo 2 - Shootout

Jeff Christian scored two goals and the Missouri Mavericks defeated the Amarillo Gorillas 3-2 in a shootout Saturday night at Independence Events Center. Missouri goaltender Doug Groenestege stopped 31 of 33 shots and seven of nine shots in the shootout for his fifth win of the season. Andrew Davis scored in the ninth round of the shootout to secure the victory for the Mavericks who improved to 8-9-1 on the season.

Sunday, December 6 - Missouri 2 at Mississippi 4

Kevin Cooper's goal with 11 seconds remaining broke a 2-2 tie and lifted the Mississippi RiverKings to a 4-2 win over the Missouri Mavericks Sunday afternoon at DeSoto Civic Center. Cooper scored at 19:49 in the third period on his second power play goal of the game as the RiverKings moved to 11-9-2 on the season. Jeff MacDermid and Nick Sirota each scored power play goals for the Mavericks as they fell to 8-10-1 and remain in sixth place in the Northern Conference.

Notes

Teddy Bear Toss - The Mavericks are hosting a Teddy Bear Toss at their game on Tuesday, December 8. Fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears to the game to throw on the ice after Missouri's first goal. The bears will then be donated to local hospitals and charities.

Home sweet home - Missouri is 5-1-0 on home ice this season. The Mavericks have outscored their opponent 22-12 in the six games, four of which have been against the Wichita Thunder. Missouri hosts three of the league's top teams in their four home December games. Missouri hosts Rapid City on two consecutive Tuesdays (12/8, 12/15). The Laredo Bucks head to town on December 22, and the defending Northern Conference champion Colorado Eagles play in Missouri on New Year's Eve.

Third period struggles - The Mavericks are winners of four out of the last six games, but in both of the losses, Missouri gave up the lead in the third period. Bossier-Shreveport and Mississippi both scored multiple goals in the third period to overcome one-goal deficits.

On the road again - After Tuesday's game against Rapid City, the Mavericks will play eight of their next 11 games on the road. Missouri heads to south Texas, Colorado, Wichita, Mississippi and Bossier-Shreveport over the next four weeks. After January 2, the Mavericks will have just 11 road games in the final 11 weeks of the regular season compared to 23 home games.

Two for Tuesdays - December 8 is the first Price Chopper "Two for Tuesday". Every Tuesday game throughout the regular season, fans can purchase two-for-one Terrace seats by showing their Price Chopper Shopper cards. This promotion is available on day of game only and at the Box Office only. Buy one $18 Terrace seat get one free. The limit one per person per card, and it is available to the first 250 fans.
