
Mavericks to Play Eight Games in Six Days at Heritage Field

ADELANTO, Calif. - The High Desert Mavericks, Advanced-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, begin an eight-game, six-day homestand, featuring two double-headers at Heritage Field. The series begins Tuesday, August 11 at 7:05 P.M. against the Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.
The series premieres on a Texas-Sized Tuesday, featuring $4 signature food and beverage items that will be available at the Chuck Wagon concession stand throughout the game. Texas-Sized Tuesday is celebrated in honor of the Mavericks new MLB affiliate, the Texas Rangers. First pitch on Tuesday is at 7:05 P.M. and gates open at 6:00 P.M.
Wednesday, August 12 is the first of two double-headers during the homestand. This game is to make up for the July 17 postponed game due to the effects of the Cajon Pass fire. It is also Weiner Wednesday at Heritage Field, featuring one-dollar hot dogs, bags of chips and ice cream sandwiches. These will be available for purchase throughout both games on Wednesday. Game one will begin at 6:00 P.M. Game two will start approximately 20-30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game. Parking and gates open at 5:30 P.M. All August 12 tickets are valid for both games.
Thursday, August 13 is the final game against Rancho Cucamonga and is another Thirsty Thursday at Heritage Field, which includes $2 Pepsi products, $2 domestic beer cans/drafts and $4.50 24 oz. beer cans/drafts. First pitch is slated for 7:05 P.M. and gates will open at 6:00 P.M.
Friday, August 14 begins the series against Los Angeles Angels affiliate, the Inland Empire 66ers and is a Fireworks Friday with fireworks presented by Choice Medical Group. The post-game fireworks show will begin following the conclusion of the game. First pitch is at 7:05 P.M. Gates open at 6:00 P.M.
Saturday, August 15 features the second double-header in makeup for the postponed game on July 19. On a Signature Saturday, the Mavericks will be hosting "Military Appreciation Night" as their signature event. In celebration of this night, the Mavericks are offering $5.00 buy one, get one free military tickets for up to eight tickets with one Military or Veteran ID, which brings each ticket to just $2.50. (Valid only at the box office, not valid with any other discount or group offer). Additionally, all kids 12 and under in attendance will be invited to participate in Kids Run the Bases, presented by Jack in the Box. Game one starts at 5:30 P.M. Game two will start approximately 20-30 minutes following the conclusion of game one. Gates and parking open at 5:00 P.M. All August 15 tickets are valid for both games.
Sunday, August 16 is Adelanto Resident Appreciation Night as well as Domingos Latinos. All residents of Adelanto are invited to stop by City Hall to pick up free tickets to the game. Call City Hall at (760) 246-2300 for more information. Again, kids 12 and under will be invited to participate in Jack in the Box Kids Run the Bases at the end of the contest. First pitch is at 5:05 P.M. Gates open at 4:00 P.M.
