High Desert Mavericks to Host California League Championship Series

ADELANTO, Calif. - The California League South Division Champion High Desert Mavericks, Advanced-A © affiliate of the Texas Rangers, play Game 3 of the California League Championship series at Heritage Field this Saturday, Sept. 17 at 6:35 p.m. against the Visalia Rawhide, Advanced-A © affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. This is the first Mavericks' Championship series berth since 2009.

"After an exciting series against the Lancaster JetHawks, including two outstanding games at Heritage Field on Saturday [9/10] and Sunday [9/11], we are thrilled to have the Mavericks move on to the Cal League Championship series," said General Manager Ben Hemmen. "This is it. We are down to the final game(s) at Heritage Field for this historic organization and, with the support of the community, this team looks to finish the final season of professional baseball in the High Desert the same way it started in 1991... with a Cal League title."

On Saturday, Game 3 of the best-of-5 series will start at 6:35 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. After the conclusion of Saturday's game, all Kids 12 and under can participate in Jack in the Box Kids Run the Bases. Following Kids Run the Bases will be the FINAL Skyrocket Saturday FIREWORKS show ever at Heritage Field. Mavericks' playoffs tickets for Saturday are $6 for any seat at Heritage Field. For groups of 10 or more, tickets will be sold at $4 per ticket.

The California League Championship series is a best-of-5 series, with the first two games played at Recreation Park in Visalia on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. Follow the Mavs on Facebook (/hdmavs), Twitter (@hdmavs), Snapchat (hdmavs), and Instagram (@highdesertmavs) for live video, game updates and behind-the-scenes looks.

If games four and/or five are needed, they will be hosted by the Mavericks at Heritage Field on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 5:05 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 19 at 6:35 p.m.
