Kansas City Mavericks News Release

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks took a tough loss on Saturday night, falling 5-3 to the St. Charles Chill in regulation.

The Mavericks were first on the board with a goal by Team Captain Sebastien Thinel, but the Chill answered back with four goals, including three power play goals in the second period to take a daunting 4-1 lead over Missouri. St. Charles would continue to skate their way through the Mavs defense with another power play goal early in the third period. Down, but not out, Eric Castonguay and Trevor Kell, both scored a goal to get the Mavericks back on the map late in the third, but it was not enough to overcome the Chill's substantial lead.

Mavericks lose for the first time on home to Show Me Cup rival, the St. Charles Chill 5-3. The Mavericks lead the Chill 6 points to 3 points in the Show Me Cup series.

Missouri plays their next game at home on Wednesday, November 23, against the Quad City Mallards for Pay What You Can Night. The Mavericks are offering this special event to the public so that those less fortunate have the opportunity to attend a professional hockey game with their families this holiday season. The Mavericks encourage fans to not only buy tickets to the event, but to also consider donating to the cause on their website to help cover the ticket costs of hockey fans who cannot afford a full price ticket.

The Missouri Mavericks are proud to announce the new Mavericks Bud Light Good Times Seats in section 115. For each remaining home game there will be a limited number of tickets that include a center ice seat location and 2 FREE Bud Light draft or fountain drink vouchers. A $50 value for only $30!
