Maunu Returns to Storm

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that defenseman Mitch Maunu has been reassigned to Toledo by the AHL's Norfolk Admirals.

Maunu, the Thunder Bay, Ontario native, is currently playing in his first professional season. The 6'1, 205-pound defenseman was the fourth round draft choice (120th Overall) of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. While with Norfolk, Maunu went pointless finishing with 2 PIM. Mitch had 7 PIM in two games with the Storm earlier this season.

The Storm play a pair of games at Toledo Sports Arena this weekend. Tonight will be the first ever meeting between the Florida Everblades and Toledo Storm at One Main Street. Saturday night, the division-rival Cincinnati Cyclones will make their first regular season appearance to Toledo; both games begin at 7:35pm.
