Tacoma Defiance (4-9-2, 14 points) on Saturday hosts its final match of the 2020 USL Championship season against Reno 1868 FC (10-2-3, 33 points). This marks the fourth meeting of the season and second at Cheney Stadium between the two sides, with Defiance having lost all three previous matchups in 2020 with first-place Reno.
Tacoma is currently riding a two-match winning streak in its return to Cheney Stadium for the final three games of the regular season. The club most recently defeated Sacramento Republic FC on Wednesday evening, with Alec DÃÂaz coming the bench to score the sole goal of the game, his team-leading sixth goal of the season. Defiance ended Sacramento's 10-match unbeaten streak with this win. Prior to that, Defiance returned home last Sunday afternoon with a 2-1 win over Portland Timbers 2. Ethan Dobbelaere and Azriel Gonzalez provided the scoring in the fifth meeting of the season between the two Cascadia rivals, with Tacoma winning the overall season series 3-2-0.
