Atlanta United FC News Release

ATLANTA - Atlanta United returns to action on Saturday, April 28, when it hosts Montreal Impact at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 1 p.m. EST and will be televised on FOX Sports South.

Atlanta United defeated LA Galaxy 2-0 at StubHub Center on April 21, extending the club's unbeaten streak to six games. Josef Martinez opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, blasting home a rebound after Julian Gressel's volley hit the crossbar. Martinez leads MLS with six goals this season, and the Venezuelan striker has now scored 25 goals in 27 games played. Miguel AlmirÃ"n converted a penalty kick in stoppage time after substitute Romario Williams was taken down inside the box, sealing the away victory and the second consecutive clean sheet on the road.

Montreal is coming off a 5-3 loss to LAFC at Stade Saputo, a game in which Montreal led 3-1 at the half before giving up four straight second-half goals while playing with 10 men. Nacho Piatti scored his first career MLS hat trick for the home side in the first half, and former Impact defender Laurent Ciman drove a 30-yard free kick past Evan Bush to make it 3-1 at the break. An Impact own goal plus tallies from Benny Feilhaber, Carlos Vela and Latif Blessing completed LAFC's comeback.
