ATL UTD 2 is coming off a 4-0 home loss to Detroit City last Saturday, April 9. Receiving red cards in the late stages of the match, Darwin Matheus and Nigel Prince miss out on the fixture in Indianapolis due to suspension.

DEBUTANTS

Three players made their ATL UTD 2 debuts in the loss to Detroit City, including defender Nelson Orji and midfielders Cristiano Bruletti and Emenike Nwogu.

Orji was a calming presence in his appearance off the bench, with the Nigerian intercepting two Detroit City passes and completing 83.3 percent of his passes in 26 minutes of play.

Orji's fellow countryman, Nwogu found opportunities in his nine-minute cameo to progress the ball up the pitch from defensive midfield.

A member of the Atlanta United Academy, Bruletti dispossessed two Detroit City players in the 17-year-old's 16 minutes on the pitch.

JUSTIN GARCES

Justin Garces has been stellar since his return from UCLA, starting Atlanta's last two matches against Hartford Athletic and Detroit City.

Despite only playing half of the team's games, the Homegrown player has stopped 14 shots in 2022; this tally places him in a tie for third in saves amongst USL Championship goalkeepers.
