Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - The Bullfrogs gave up 16 runs to the Rafters in a slugfest on Tuesday, wrapping up their season series against Wisconsin Rapids with a loss.

The Bullfrogs got on the board early with three runs in the first inning and four more in the second. Boomer White had four RBI in those two innings and Bryant Burleson had two more, and Green Bay carried a 7-2 lead in the bottom of the second inning.

The tide changed when the Rafters next came up to bat, however. With six hits in the inning, the Rafters pushed across six runs, all earned to starter Bryce Bellin, to take an 8-7 lead that they would never relinquish.

After the teams traded runs back and fourth the rest of the way, Green Bay closed out the scoring for the night with three runs in the fifth inning, two of which came on back-to-back solo home runs from Tripp Martin and Ryan Drobny to lead off the frame.

It was Martin's ninth home run of the season; he is now one shy of Scott Schebler's team record, which was set in 2010.

Each bullpen closed out the game with four scoreless innings, and the Rafters held on to win 16-11 in a game that took just under four hours.

The loss went to Bellin (1-4). The win went to Trevor Koehn (2-1). There was no save.

The Bullfrogs head to Madison on Wednesday to begin a three game series. The first two games will be played at Warner Park in Madison. All games in the series will begin at 7:05 p.m., and can be heard live on 107.1 WOCO FM Oconto, the home for Bullfrogs baseball.
