Marlies Drop Admirals 3-2 in Overtime

Toronto Marlies News Release


The Toronto Marlies defeated the Milwaukee Admirals, AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, by a score of 3-2 in overtime tonight at the Bradley Center.

Milwaukee would open the scoring when Brad Winchester tallied his 7th goal of the season just over one minute into the game. The Marlies would respond just over four minutes later when Sam Carrick tallied his first career AHL goal. Anthony Bitetto gave the Admirals a 2-1 lead on a powerplay early in the second frame. Toronto would tie the game at 3:28 of the final period when Jerry D'Amigo notched his 13th goal of the season. After killing off a penalty early in overtime, Greg Scott notched the game winning goal at 4:20 of the extra frame.

Toronto returns to the ice tomorrow night when they travel to Illinois to take on the Peoria Rivermen, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues. Puck drop is set for 6:05 p.m. ET. The Marlies return home on Saturday, March 30 when they host the Abbotsford Heat, AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, at 3 p.m.
