
Pirates Face Phantoms in Glens Falls Matinee

Portland, ME - The Portland Pirates travel to Glens Falls to take on the Adirondack Phantoms for the 4th and final time this season. Puck drop is set for 3 PM from the Glens Falls Civic Center. The Pirates currently sit in 5th place in the Eastern Conference with 75 points, while the Phantoms occupy the last spot in the Eastern Conference with 57 points. Portland is coming off a home split with the St. John's IceCaps, taking a 5-2 win on Friday night and dropping a 4-1 decision last night. In last night's contest, Nick Johnson provided the lone goal for the Pirates, his first with Portland, but the IceCaps scored 4 unanswered for the win. Mark Visentin stopped 31 of 35 shots in the defeat, his second straight start since returning from injury.
Adirondack is coming off a 5-2 win over the Connecticut Whale in Hartford that saw the Phantoms tally 4 power play goals. Garrett Roe had his first career multi-goals game for Adirondack, and goaltender Cal Heeter picked up his 9th win of the season. The Phantoms return to Glens Falls for the first time in 13 days, where they hold a 14-14-0-1 record.
The Pirates defeated the Adirondack Phantoms by a 6-3 margin during their last meeting on March 13th. Chad Johnson picked up the win for the Pirates, and Alexandre Bolduc and Chris Brown each scored for the Pirates. Portland is 2-1 against Adirondack this season and makes their first trip to the Glens Falls Civic Center since the season opener on October 13. Both of Portland's wins over the phantoms this season came at home, with one taking place at the Cumberland County Civic Center and the other at the Androscoggin Bank Colisée.
