JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Four BlueClaws pitchers combined on a five-hit shutout as the BlueClaws blanked Brooklyn 3-0 on Saturday night at sold out ShoreTown Ballpark.

Rafael Marcano threw five scoreless innings to start the game, earning his fifth win. Matt Russell got the next out. Jordi Martinez got the next five outs, and Wesley Moore got the last four for his first High-A save.

The BlueClaws (18-17/53-47) have won 11 of their last 14 games to pull within four games of first place Brooklyn (22-13/49-51).

Jersey Shore took the lead in the bottom of the fifth on an infield RBI single from Marcus Lee Sang.

The BlueClaws tacked on two more unearned runs in the bottom of the seventh. Caleb Ricketts drove in one run with a fielder's choice groundout and a second scored on Brooklyn's second error of the inning.

Marcano went five, and allowed just four hits and three walks, while striking out five. Moore, who joined the BlueClaws on June 13th, saved two games with Clearwater earlier in the season but this was his first save with Jersey Shore.

Lee Sang, Leandro Pineda, and Freylin Minyety all had two hits for Jersey Shore.

The teams wrap up their six-game series on Sunday afternoon at 1:05 pm. RHP Carlos Betancourt starts for Jersey Shore.
