Marauders Shut down Palm Beach 4-2

Jupiter, FL - The Bradenton Marauders (7-8) won the rubber game against the Palm Beach Cardinals (9-6) 4-2 on Thursday night at Roger Dean Stadium. RHP Austin Coley (W, 1-2), RHP Miguel Rosario, and RHP Luis Heredia combined to retire 13 straight Cardinals between the fourth and ninth innings.

Palm Beach led 1-0 through five thanks to a two-out RBI single by Blake Drake in the fourth. The Marauders rallied against Blake Drake (L, 0-1), loading the bases with two outs for LF Jordan Luplow. Luplow roped a two-run double to left field to give Bradenton the lead for good.

The Marauders added important insurance runs with a two-out rally in the top of the ninth. SS Kevin Newman's third hit of the game plated CF Elvis Escobar to extend the lead to 3-1. DH Kevin Kramer followed with a sharp single to plate RF Jeff Roy.

Heredia pitched the final two innings, allowing one run but collecting his second save.
