PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (August 18, 2015) - The Bradenton Marauders scored four unearned runs in the third inning and went on to beat the St. Lucie Mets 5-2 on Tuesday at Tradition Field.

David Wright resumed his rehab and played all nine innings. At the plate Wright walked his first three times up and he struck out swinging in his final at-bat. In the field, he made a nifty back-handed stop for an out, was charged with a throwing error that led to three unearned runs and was involved in a run down in which he made the tag for an out.

The Mets took a 1-0 lead in the second on Amed Rosario's two-out single that plated Matt Oberste. However, the lead would be brief.

All nine Bradenton batters came to the plate against Logan Taylor in the third. Taylor walked the leadoff man Michael Fransoso, and Fransoso scored on a ground ball to Wright to tie the game. On the grounder, Wright threw wide to Dominic Smith at first base and it appeared Smith held the bag for the second out. But field umpire Dave Attridge ruled the throw pulled Smith off the bag.

Taylor got a fly out for the second out, then surrendered a two-run single to Jordan Steranka and a RBI single to Jin-De Jhang that made it 4-1.

Jhang added a solo homer off of Taylor in the sixth to make it 5-1.

Victor Cruzado led off the bottom of the sixth with a triple and he scored on a wild pitch to complete the scoring.

The Mets had a great chance in the third against struggling Bradenton starter Luis Heredia, who walked two and gave up a single to load the bases with one out. Heredia recovered by striking out Cruzado and Maikis De La Cruz to end the inning and maintain a 4-1 lead.

Junior Lopez pitched 2.1 innings out of the bullpen to get the win. Isaac Sanchez pitched a perfect seventh and eighth. Montana DuRapau struck out the side in the ninth to end the game and get his 10th save.

Kelly Secrest tossed two scoreless innings for the Mets. Jimmy Duff pitched a scoreless ninth.

Taylor allowed just one earned run in six innings in the loss.

Cruzado and Oberste had two hits apiece for the Mets.

The Mets (60-61, 25-26) and Marauders (64-57, 32-19) conclude their series at Tradition Field on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The Mets are seeking the split.
