Peter Stoykewych picked up two points this week with a goal and an assist. The defender now has points in three of his last four games and four points (2G, 2A) on the season. The Winnipeg, MB product is tied for fourth on the Moose with a plus-five rating.

BUDDY COMES UP BIG:

Buddy Robinson had a productive week, posting five points (3G, 2A) in three games. The run vaulted him into top spot on the Moose leaderboard with 11 points and five goals. Robinson also leads Manitoba in shots with 28 on the season. The Bellmawr, NJ native was named a game star in all three outings this week with a third star nod and two firsts.

HELPING OUT:

Mason Appleton led the Moose, and was second in the AHL, with six points, all assists, this week. Appleton is on a five game point streak with eight points (1G, 7A) in that stretch. His seven assists lead Manitoba in that category.

MILESTONES:

Two Moose players crossed milestones in Chicago. Patrice Cormier played his 350th AHL game, scoring a goal. The Moncton, NB native posted 158 points (77G, 81A) throughout those 350 contests. Meanwhile, Eric Comrie played the 6,000th minute of his AHL career in the win against the Wolves. The third-year pro has appeared in five games this season after playing 51 games and 46 games his previous two campaigns.

SCORING IN THE CENTRAL:

Ahead of their California road swing, the Moose sit third in the Central Division and have scored the second-most goals with 30 in nine games. They also own the division's third-best goal differential at plus-five, having allowed 25 goals.

EXITING OCTOBER

Wednesday, Oct. 25: Manitoba 3 at Chicago 1

The Moose and Wolves clashed in an early game, getting going at 11 a.m. Jack Roslovic got the scoring started late in the first period. He was followed up by Buddy Robinson in the second period and Patrice Cormier in the third. Eric Comrie's shutout bid was broken up by Ivan Barbashev with 1:15 remaining in the contest.

Friday, Oct. 27: Belleville 4 at Manitoba 3 SO

Buddy Robinson scored twice in the first period, bookending an Erik Burgdoerfer goal for Belleville. The Senators scored twice in the middle frame to take a 3-2 lead into the third. With time winding down, Mason Appleton set up Chase De Leo for a tying goal with 2:14 left in the contest. Despite seven combined shots in overtime, the game required a shootout where the shooters scored seven times. Nick Paul scored the extra marker for Belleville as the visitors claimed the win.

Saturday, Oct. 28: Belleville 3 at Manitoba 2 OT

The Moose jumped out to a two-goal lead with tallies from Mike Sgarbossa and Peter Stoykewych. Belleville got one goal back early in the second and forced overtime with a late third period tally. Overtime lasted just 35 seconds as Filip Chlapik scored to give Belleville the extra point.
