American Hockey League Announces Suspensions

AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE ANNOUNCES SUSPENSIONS

SPRINGFIELD, The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

San Diego Gulls defenseman Stu Bickel has been suspended for five (5) games as a consequence of his actions in a game at Texas on Oct. 27.

Bickel has already served one game of the suspension, and will also miss San Diego's games Friday (Nov. 3) vs. Ontario, Saturday (Nov. 4) at Ontario, Nov. 8 vs. Texas and Nov. 10 vs. Stockton.

Binghamton Devils forward Jan Mandat has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of a boarding incident in a game vs. Springfield on Oct. 28.

Mandat was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Binghamton's game Friday (Nov. 3) at Utica.
