ERIC COMRIE

Goaltender Eric Comrie continues to put together an incredible rookie season in the Moose net. The native of Edmonton, Alberta, who now resides in California, had a big homecoming to his home state this week. He matched a league high with 49 saves in his game against Stockton this past Friday night. Comrie currently leads the AHL with 845 saves.

ROOKIE SCORING LEADER:

Chase De Leo added to his impressive season totals with a pair of assists this week against Ontario and Stockton. The 20-year old native of La Mirada, California shares the points lead on the Moose with 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points this season. He currently sits in a tie for 16th among all AHL rookies in scoring. De Leo also leads all rookies in shots on goal with 106 which puts him in a tie for 18th in the AHL.

THE OTHER SCORING LEADER:

Brenden Kichton scored the huge game tying goal on Friday night versus Stockton to help earn the Moose a valuable point. Kichton has been the points leader much of the season for the Moose and is currently tied with De Leo with 22 points coming from four goals and 18 assists. The native of Spruce Grove, Alberta is currently tied for 16th among all AHL defencemen in points.

BACK TO THE JETS:

Paul Postma ended his successful conditioning stint with the Moose after playing seven games. The Red Deer, Alberta native added a veteran presence to blueline while recording a goal and two assists for three points. He also added 16 shots on goal that helped push the Moose offence.

NEARING CAREER HIGHS:

The development of forwards Austen Brassard and Ryan Olsen continues to take shape. Brassard is having a breakout season with eight goals and nine assists for 17 points this season. The Windsor, Ontario native is one point off his career high which he set last year. He is among the league leaders in shooting percentage at 22.8%. Olsen with an assist against Stockton matched his career high of four goals and five assists for nine points. With nearly half the season games remaining on the Moose schedule, both are on pace to well surpass their former season highs.

INJURY REPORT:

The Moose saw the return of both forward Thomas Raffl and defenceman Jay Harrison this week. Raffl played his first three games back with the Moose after being out since Dec. 12 with a broken jaw. He recorded five shots in the three games. Unfortunately the return of Jay Harrison was cut short as he left Friday's game early with an injury and sat out of Saturday's game against Stockton. Nic Petan also missed Saturday's game after blocking a shot in the previous night's contest and is currently day-to-day. Brennan Serville continues to remain out of the lineup with an upper body injury.
