ST. JOHN'S, NL - The St. John's IceCaps will celebrate the Royal Newfoundland Regiment with a series of stories, videos and contests beginning this week, culminating in a special weekend (February 5th and 6th) featuring the new IceCaps Regiment tribute jerseys and participation from military dignitaries.
Starting today, IceCaps social media channels will feature stories of former Regiment soldiers, videos on the design process of the new jersey and IceCaps players making commemorative 'Forget-Me-Nots' at The Rooms. Contests for tribute jerseys and tickets to the weekend games will also be posted throughout the next two weeks.
Details regarding game-night presentations for the February 5th and 6th weekend series versus the Utica Comets will be released next week.
IceCaps tickets for these games can be purchased at the Mile One Centre box office (noon-5 p.m.), by phone at 709-576-7657 (noon-5:30 p.m.), or online at www.mileonecentre.com.
