PETAN GETS FIRST GOAL:

Nic Petan has given the Moose offence an immediate boost. This past Friday he scored his first career AHL goal against Lake Erie. The native of Delta, BC has registered a point in each game last week and now has three points in four games since joining the Moose on Nov. 19.

DE LEO'S POINT PRODUCTION:

Although he was held off the scoresheet on Friday, Chase De Leo continues his strong play as of late. The La Mirada, California native now has seven points in his last eight games. He had a two point night in the first game against Lake Erie and now has two goals and five assists this month.

VETERANS RETURN:

The Moose got a boost this past week with the return of a couple of veterans who were previously sidelined due to injury. Team Captain John Albert returned on Wednesday night for his first game since Nov. 1, a stretch of six games missed. The return was extra special for Albert as the games were played in his hometown of Cleveland. Albert recorded three shots and two penalty minutes in the two games. Friday saw another return with defenceman Jay Harrison lacing them up for the first time after missing eight games. Harrison had an assist on the Moose goal in Friday's game.

HOMETOWN HERO:

Winnipeg's own Kelly Zajac made his Moose debut this past week. The 27-year-old forward played in both games against the Monsters recording three shots. Zajac is expected to play in his first ever pro game in Manitoba when the Moose have their next home game on Dec. 12 versus Milwaukee.

SOLID BETWEEN THE PIPES:

Connor Hellebuyck who started the season with the Moose earned his first career NHL victory in his first career start this past week. Eric Comrie will now see an increase in his starts with the Moose. He played back-to-back games for the first time this season against the same opponent and gave the Moose an opportunity to win each game. On Wednesday he had a 39 save performance and followed that on Friday with another 27 saves. He currently sits ninth in the AHL with a .927 save percentage.
