Goals:

- The Moose work a nice play on the powerplay that ends with Chase De Leo passing the puck to an open Thomas Raffl in front of the net who beats Steve Michalek at 4:04 of the first period.

- Tyson Strachan clears the puck to a streaking Zack Mitchell who gets in behind the Moose defence and beats Connor Hellebuyck on a breakaway with a wrist shot five-hole with 1:18 remaining in the second period.

- After a dump in on goal, there is miscommunication in front of the Moose net and Maxime Fortunus grabs the rebound and beats Hellebuyck at 9:53 of the third period.

Highlights/Notes:

- Thomas Raffl scored his fourth goal of the season. It's his second in his last four games and was his first powerplay goal of the season. He is one of three players on the Moose with at least an even strength goal, a powerplay goal and a shorthanded goal this season. Patrice Cormier and JC Lipon are the others.

- Chase De Leo recorded an assist and has now recorded at least one point in three of his last four games. He leads the team in scoring with 15 goals and 16 assists for 31 points. De Leo also leads the team in points on the powerplay with seven goals and seven assists for 14 points. He is tied for 13th in AHL rookie scoring.

- Nic Petan recorded an assist and has a point in three of his last four games. In 11 games this month he has five goals and four assists for nine points. Petan is now tied for 17th in AHL rookie scoring

- The Moose are the only team in the AHL who have two rookies as their leading scorers on the team (De Leo - 1, Petan - 2).

- Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck made 27 saves in the loss. He has a 3-2-0 record since returning from the Winnipeg Jets. In those five games he has a 2.03 goals against average and a .940 save percentage.

- The Moose continued their excellent work on the penalty kill going a perfect three-for-three in the game. They are currently on a stretch of successfully killing off 31 of their last 32 penalties good for a 96.7% rate over their last eight games.

- The Moose now have a 1-2-1-0 record against the Wild this season. The two teams will play four more times before the end of the regular season.

- The Moose wrap up this five game road trip with a 3-2-0-0.

The Moose will head home for a two game set against the Charlotte Checkers which gets underway on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. at the MTS Centre.
