WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI - July 18, 2011. The four players that the Madison Mallards sent to the 2011 All-Star game in Wisconsin Rapids represented the team well Monday, despite the North Division winning the game 6-3 in front of 2,408 fans at Witter Field.

The Ducks had two starters in the game for the South Division in Nate Theunissen (Central Michigan) at first base, and Jordan Owen (Tennessee - Martin) in right field.

The dynamic duo hit sixth and seventh in the South line-up respectively and did not disappoint.

Theunissen hit a solo, second inning home run to deep center field after the North got off to a quick 2-0 start. He also added an RBI single later in the game and finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Theunissen also played the entire game at first base and was the only player on the South's squad to have four at-bats.

Owen had a great day at the plate as well, going 2-for-2 with two singles.

Rusty Shellhorn (Texas Tech) pitched the third inning for the South and gave up two runs on two hits, and Matt Milroy (Illinois) pitched 0.2 innings with two strikeouts.

The winning pitcher for the South was Blake Schwartz (Minnesota State) of the Mankato MoonDogs, and the loss went to Ben Ballantine (Michigan) of the Battle Creek Bombers.

The game's MVP award was given to Dan Olinger (Minnesota) of Brainerd Lakes, who was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and RBI for the North Division.
