
Mallards Back Home to Start Series with Pit Spitters

Coming off another series split with a loss in Wisconsin Rapids last night against the Rafters, the Madison Mallards (3-3) are home at the Duck Pond at Warner Park once again to host the Traverse City Pit Spitters (5-1).
The Mallards lost a shootout by a score of 12-8 last night. Alex Iadisernia (Elon) hit a solo home run in his first game as a Mallard for the Mallards third on the season.
On the mound for the Mallards tonight is Ryan Lauk (Wagner), who was the opening day starter for the Mallards. Lauk pitched five innings allowing just one run against the Lakeshore Chinooks on opening day, picking up the win.
The Pit Spitters come into this series at 5-1 after splitting a series in Kenosha against the Kingfish. They also had a high-scoring game yesterday, winning by a score of 14-7.
This game is the first of a two-game set with Traverse City, with the first pitch for tonight scheduled for 4:05 p.m. and the game tomorrow scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
