Booyah Claim Victory at Home
June 6, 2021 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Green Bay Rockers News Release
ASHWAUBENON, Wis. - The Green Bay Booyah's late push was enough to get a 5-3 victory on Sunday afternoon against the Lakeshore Chinooks at Capital Credit Union Park.
The Booyah got off to a hot start again, drawing first blood in the second inning thanks to a Kaden Hollow (Dixie State) solo home run. The Booyah then scored another two in the following inning thanks to a pair of RBI hits by Dalton Pearson (Georgia State) and Dayson Croes (Quincy).
The Chinooks then scored three unanswered, but the Booyah would not go away.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, after a walk to Tyler Hollow (Dixie State) and a double by Max Wagner (Clemson), Matt Rivera (Harford CC) came to the dish in a pinch-hit appearance. The right-handed hitter connected for an RBI single to give the Booyah a three-run lead. That was followed up by a sacrifice fly by Kaden Hollow.
Ben Hart (Dixie State) pitched well in his first appearance. He went six innings, allowing just two hits, three runs and punching out five. He finishes with a no decision. Braden Babcock (Southern Illinois) finished the deal with a six-out save in his first appearance this summer.
The Booyah and the Chinooks will be back at it tomorrow night from Kapco Park. Both teams will look to earn win number three on the season. The Booyah have not announced a starting pitcher for that matchup. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm.
