
Malcolm Hill Named NBA G League Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Birmingham Squadron guard Malcolm Hill has been named NBA G League Player of the Week, the league office announced today.
The recognition is awarded for games played Jan. 15 through Jan. 21, a period in which Hill averaged 34.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest. On the season, the Illinois product leads the Squadron in scoring with 24.6 points per game.
On Jan. 18 against Iowa, Hill broke the Squadron's franchise record with 44 points scored, a mark that is also a career-high.
Hill is seventh in the G League in points per game, seventh in free throws made and eighth in three pointers made.
Birmingham returns to action tomorrow at Wisconsin to take on the Herd at 6 p.m. The game can be seen locally on My68 or nationally on ESPN+.
