
Major League pitching star to start against Sand Gnats Wednesday

SAVANNAH, Ga. â Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Wade Miller will start Wednesday's 12:05 p.m. game against the Sand Gnats at Historic Grayson Stadium.
Miller, who signed with Boston last December, is 58-37 with a 3.87 ERA in 123 big league starts.
In 2001 with the Houston Astros, Miller had his best season going 16-8 with a 3.40 ERA and 183 strikeouts. He followed up his sensational 2001 season with a 15-4 record in 2002 for Houston, and set an Astros team record by winning 12 consecutive games.
The right hander is rehabilitating from tendonitis in his right shoulder which limited him to 15 starts in 2004. He will be opposed by Gnats southpaw Jon Felfoldi (0-0, 4.50).
