Arkansas Travelers News Release
Arkansas outfielder Val Majewski (knee) was placed on the disabled list again Tuesday, just a week after he was activated from his last DL-stint. Majewski has a left knee fracture and hasn't played since Thursday. Catcher Flint Wipke was transferred back to Arkansas after two games with Triple-A Salt Lake (Pacific Coast)
Majewski, 28, has a .235 batting average, four home runs and 18 RBIs in 36 games since signing with the Travelers in early June. He missed 11 days in the second half of July with a patella inflammation in the same leg, then served as the Travs' designated hitter in two games last week before reinjuring the knee.
Wipke went 1-for-5 in two Triple-A games, his only hit a pinch-hit home run for Salt Lake on Saturday. The 26-year-old Wipke has a .245 average in Double-A, with four home runs and 18 RBIS.
