Maine Rain Postpones Squirrels

Richmond Flying Squirrels News Release
Portland, ME - Dark skies followed by a consistent rain that started right around the scheduled first pitch forced the Flying Squirrels and the Portland Sea Dogs to postpone Friday's contest at Hadlock Field. Richmond and Portland will make up the contest as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, August 4. Both games will be seven inning affairs. The first game will begin at 5 p.m., with the nightcap scheduled for approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
Richmond will be on the road until they return to Funnville for a six-game homestand on Tuesday, August 7 against thee Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Tuesday at The Diamond is the annual Tribute to the Peanut Night that includes a peanut butter drive for FeedMore. The first 1,000 fans (15+) will receive a free foam peanut cap.
