Montgomery Biscuits News Release

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Biscuits (26-22) took a 3-2 lead with a Luke Maile home run, but the Huntsville Stars (32-17) would come back to take down the Biscuits 7-3 at Riverwalk Stadium on Saturday night to force a rubber-match on Sunday.

With the game tied at two, Maile led off the fourth inning with a rocket home run to left that gave the Biscuits a 3-2 lead. The home run extended Maile's hit streak to nine games.

Huntsville, however, would score three runs in the sixth. Kentrail Davis started the scoring with an RBI-double, followed by a sacrifice fly from Adam Weisenburger then a run-scoring double from D'Vontrey Richardson. The Stars added two more in the seventh to lead 7-3.

The Stars wasted no time getting on the board with two runs in the first inning. The Biscuits cut the lead in half when Taylor Motter and Richie Shaffer pulled off a double-steal in the first. The throw from Weisenburger went towards second but went into centerfield which allowed Motter to score. Jake Hager drove in Joey Rickard in the third inning with a sacrifice fly to tie the game.

Ryan Brett extended his hit streak to ten games.

The rubber-match is Sunday night at 5:35. RH Michael Colla will throw for the Biscuits, while RH Andy Moye will make his first start since being activated off the disabled list .
