
Magnus Named to Team West for World Under 17 Challenge

Swift Current Broncos' forward Christian Magnus has been name to Team West for the World Under 17 Challenge in Alberni Valley, BC.
Magnus, from Saskatoon, will be a member of the team representing the top players from Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The Challenge takes place from December 29, 2008 until January 4th 2009. Magnus has 3 points in 18 games in his rookie season for the Broncos.
Broncos Head Coach and General Manager Dean Chynoweth says "It will be a great event for Christian to experience as well as a good measuring stick to see where he fits against the other top kids in his age group. We wish him all the best during the tournament."
In addition to Magnus, Broncos assistant coach Tim Kehler will be the Head Coach of Team Pacific (Alberta/BC) at the event. There are 5 Canadian regional teams in the tournament. Joining the Canadian teams will be the top Under 17 aged players from: Finland, Russia, Germany, Slovakia and the United States. The games will be played on Vancouver Island in: Port Alberni, Nanaimo, Duncan, Parksville, Campbell River and Comox.
